Aluminium foam facade with console-railing system

Especially in reconstruction projects often there is need for extra insulation on the outer side of the walls. For such projects we have developed an Aluminium foam facade solution using console-railing system as background structure. Since consoles are adjustable, we can use the system on uneven walls as well. The rails we fix to the consoles in a way that they formulate a nice, even surface. In order to secure recyclability/reuseability we use screws to fix panels to the rails by screws. With this solution we make a room between the original wall and the new facade panels. This the space we use to place the extra insulation and an air gap between the outer surface of it and the Aliuminium foam facade panel.

Recent fires have pointed on the importance of choosing the right facade material

In case of facade materials fire performance is a key issue. In recent fires poor fire performance of the applied architectural panels resulted enormous damages. Our Aluminium foam facade panels have A1 rating meaning that they are simply uncombustible. Using insulating materials with similar fire performance the new facade will give safety and increase the value of the building.

Low embedded carbon with Aluminium foam

For the time being embedded carbon has 11% share in global CO2 emissions. With recent measures like higher energy efficiency or renewable energy solutions it is possible to reduce operational emissions. Despite of it embedded carbon emissions are locked in place when a building is build. Studies point out that in “business as usual” case embedded carbon emissions can be as high 50% by 2050. To reduce it we need to apply building materials with close to zero Carbon footprint. At Aluinvent in our production we use renewable electrical energy and recycled raw material. With this approach our Aluminium foam facade panels have close to zero Carbon footprint.
