Aluminium foam facade on DVTK Medical Center

The DVTK Medical Center is the health and rehabilitation centre of DVTK Sport Club. To emphasize the uniqueness the owner wanted the pioneering nature of the project to have reflected even through its appearance. For this reason they selected Aluinvent’s innovative aluminium foam for facade material.

The project was reconstruction of an older building which brought us lots of challenges. The original building was built in several phases, each using different materials. It ment that we had to build our Aluminium foam facade system on concrete, brick as well as steel structures. The quality of the works done 30-40 years earlier also caused us several difficulities. To make nice surfaces we had to balance the horizontal end vertical differences. With the adjustable console-profile system we managed to get over all problems and to build the new facade. As result the city of Miskolc has the first building in Hungary where the facade we made from recycled aluminium.
